On Wednesdays, we go out witnessing 4:30 pm, then return to church for evangelism training class. A few weeks ago, we knocked on a door and a woman named Christine answered and said immediately, "What church are you guys from?" We told her, then she said, "Can I go with you to church tonight?" We paused, looked at each other, and said, "Well.. ok sure." She jumped in our van and came to church immediately. (the first time I have EVER seen that happen!) We had several different bible study groups at church, but she chose to stay with us and be a part of our evangelism training class. (And by the way, this was our first class!) Usually first class I demonstrate the gospel presentation by role-playing a door-knocking situation. But instead, I asked Ashley if she would mind me sharing with her the message we intended to share by knocking on her door. She agreed. I think you know how this story goes - She prayed to receive Christ, and we were given an amazing start to our evangelism semester! While there, the food pantry ministry gave her groceries to take home, and on the way home she said in tears, "It's been a long time since I felt like people cared for me". It was a great blessing, and we were all filled with awe of God.
